According to the WHO,There are currently no drugs licensed for the treatment or prevention of COVID-19.While several drug trials are ongoing, there is currently no proof that hydroxychloroquine or any other drug can cure or prevent COVID-19. The misuse of hydroxychloroquine can cause serious side effects and illness and even lead to death. WHO is coordinating efforts to develop and evaluate medicines to treat COVID-19.

Let us not forget that the time we took chloroquine for malaria,it was prescribed by a doctor for malaria, for a recommended dose and duration .We must not buy chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine over the counter and take it in a bid to prevent or cure coronavirus infection.

Self medicating with Chloroquine and Hydxoxychloroquine is drug misuse and could lead to side effects, adverse drug reactions or even death.

There is no harm in taking your regular vitamins/minerals like:Vitamin D &Vitamin C etc…There is no harm in taking garlic and lemon to ‘boost your immunity’.Healthy eating should be a part of your lifestyle anyway.

Fellow Nigerians please remember we have a drug distribution issue in Nigeria.Prescription only drugs could be bought in open markets and sold by non pharmacists…(This is a ‘war’ we have been fighting for donkey years).

This in turn has put the lives of many Nigerians at risk who want to ‘copy and paste’ any misinformation they hear over the news.

Please stay safe and well,😷

We need you! 💚
